Nothing can lift your face instantly the way perfectly shaped eyebrows do. They make your face look tidy by giving it a great framework and that’s why everyone is really skeptical when it comes to their brow shape. Unfortunately there can be times when we can’t get them done by a professional like currently when the whole world is under self quarantine. As it’s hard to shape them by the threading method but tweezing them on your own is less intimidating and if you follow the steps given below carefully there will be a lesser chance for you to have untidy, bushy brows:
STEP 1: CLEANSE YOUR BROWS
Use a mild cleanser or use micellar water on your brows because you don’t want any makeup residue or sebum to be in there which can make it altogether difficult for you to spot and pick the extra hair. Clean it properly so that you can clearly see your brow growth in order to tweeze them.
STEP 2 : INVEST IN QUALITY TWEEZERS
As you must know precision is they key so buy a pair of good quality tweezers. This will help you to hold onto each brow hair firmly as you wouldn’t want to waste unnecessary time trying your tweezers to get the hang of individual brow hair.
STEP 3 : TRACE YOUR NATURAL BROW SHAPE
Use a liner pencil preferably white to trace the desirable shape. Make sure you shape them in their natural way instead of going too extreme as you wouldn’t want to go overboard and ruin it all out.
STEP 4 : FOLLOW 2 HAIR RULE
Pluck no more than 2 hair at a time since plucking more than that can cause abrasions and redness. Moreover if you over-pluck your brows there isn’t an undo button and if unfortunately your growth is slow then it’s going to be a double loss.
STEP 4 : BE PATIENT
Stay calm, take your time and do not rush. Take all the time in the world because you don’t want any step to go wrong. It will haunt you till the next growth so do it all patiently. Use your regular room mirror or vanity mirror instead of using a magnified one. A regular room mirror will show you how your brow would appear to people and to you too. Step back to take an overall look and move closer to see the zoomed in appearance . Don’t stop staring at the mirror till you’re satisfied.
STEP 5 : CLEAN YOUR TWEEZERS
There’s a high chance of germs, viruses and bacteria to sit on aluminium and steel items for upto 3 hours so clean your tweezers as soon as you’re done with shaping your brows. Use a regular soap or rubbing alcohol over it because you don’t want your tweezers infected.
STEP 6 : SOOTHE YOUR BROWS
Be it 2 hair pluck rule or gentle care,a little of redness is meant to happen while shaping your brows. Soothe them with a calming moisturiser or aloevera gel. You could make aloe vera cubes by freezing slurry of aloevera pulp and a portion of water in your ice tray and enjoy oh-so-chills on your brows. This will also calm any redness or irritation on your brows and make you less prone to develop tiny pimples around the brow area.
