How To Build A Skincare Routine For Beginners?

by Expertish

Whether you are a skincare enthusiast or a beginner, there’s a specific manner in which you should be incorporating skincare products. It’s true that most of us are after glowing, dewy skin but achieving that is a gradual process. If one starts including strong acids in their skincare routine without building up the skin tolerance then your barrier will be highly compromised.

You must understand your skin’s needs and texture before jumping into anything. Using the correct products according to the texture of your skin is very important. Once you become used to understanding what your skin requires and what products suit it, you’ll be able to approach your skincare and beauty regimen in a much more comprehensive manner.

1. Mild Cleanser:

In your daily life you all expose dirt, oil, and bacteria that come in contact with your skin, so it’s very important to clean your skin during the day or at night while you sleep. This first step in your routine is critical. Cleansing your face will help you start or end your day with fresh skin. Additionally, you’ll be able to receive the maximum benefits from the products you apply after cleansing, because your face will get rid of dirt and debris , bacteria and sweat that would impact the way products are absorbed. That is how mild cleansers play a great role in healthy skin.

2Moisturizer :

Your skin needs moisture to replenish the water it loses. Moisturizers with ingredients such as ceramides and hyaluronic acid can provide your skin with the healthy hydration which is  needed to stay soft, supple, and youthful, and also moist skin cells are very important for a healthy skin.

Oily skin must also be moisturized.

In fact, a lack of moisture can drive your skin to produce more oil in order to compensate for it, which can lead to clogged pores and breakouts. It can further lead to irritation and skin infections.

3. Sunscreen :

Sunscreen is the most important step in your skin care routine. Not only when you get exposed to sunlight, it’s important to wear sunscreen every day. In addition to reducing your skin cancer risk, sunscreens also prevent the effects of tanning, photoaging which can include dark spots and wrinkles.

4. Exfoliators, Retinoids & Other Steps

You should let your skin get accustomed to these steps first. Then after 4 weeks add hydrating & gentle acids in the form of serums or essence/toners. Eye creams can also be included during this time.

AHA– AHA is mainly used for dry skin. It helps to peel away the surface of skin so that new, more evenly pigmented cells are generated and take their place.

BHA– BHA is most suitable for combination to oily skin. BHA is mainly used to treat acne and sun damage. It goes deep into your hair follicles to dry out excess oils and remove dead skin to unclog your pores.

Eye creams: Eye creams have a lot of benefits. These are designed keeping in mind the fragile skin around the eyes. Benefits include reduction of fine lines, hydration, reduce dark spots etc.

Retinoids: Should be added after another 4 weeks -Retinoids increase the production of collagen fibers and blood vessels. It is an excellent ingredient for skin care. It reduces fine lines and wrinkles. As new blood vessels are formed, it improves skin tone and skin color.

Using these simple steps can give you a basic skin care routine. You can get glowing, healthy and hydrated skin easily.
