Skincare Ingredients You Should Switch : Replacement For Harmful Ingredients

by Expertish

It is very important to be mindful about one’s skin. Every skin type is unique and has different requirements. If you are able to understand your skin type then you can easily organize an effective skincare routine for yourself. But there are also some ingredients that you should be aware of which can be harmful for your skin. There are other ingredients which are very healthy for your skin

1. Use Salicylic Acid instead of Tea Tree oil

Tea tree oil comes from the leaves of the tea tree. The chemicals present  in tea tree oil are effective against bacteria, fungus, and mites. They also reduce allergic skin reactions by decreasing swelling. However, it has some severe side effects too. It may cause skin irritation and swelling in some people. People with acne can face skin dryness, itching, stinging, burning, and redness after it’s usage

On the other hand, salicylic acid which is a Beta Hydroxy Acid helps to remove dirt, bacteria, and grime that has built up on the skin’s surface. Thus helping to keep pores clear and free from irritants. Salicylic acid helps to purify and exfoliate. Thus help to improve skin health and appearance.

2. Use Argan oil instead of Coconut oil

Contrary to popular belief, coconut oil is actually not healthy for your skin. It can cause major breakouts.. Instead to get moisturised and smooth skin you should use argan oil. But on the other hand Argan oil not only gives your skin moisturisation but also protects it from acne. It also cures wounds and allows wound healing.

3. Use Kojic Acid instead of Lemon Juice

Even though lemon juice is a rich source of vitamin C, you should not apply it to your skin. It can cause skin irritation, excessive dryness, redness, skin peeling, photodermatitis etc. A better option is Kojic acid. It can  lighten visible sun damage, correct age spots and scars. This can result in an anti-aging effect on the skin. It also has antimicrobial effects.

4. Use Malic Acid instead of Apple Cider Vinegar

You should not be using Apple Cider Vinegar for your skin. Instead it is better to use malic acid. Malic acid provides a lot of skin benefits. It provides skin hydration, exfoliation, removes dead skin cells, improves skin smoothness and tone and reduces wrinkles.

5. Use Distilled Rose Water instead of a Artificial Fragrant ones

Any sort of commercial product, no matter how nature-friendly they might claim to be, can be quite harmful for skin. If you want a natural toner that would keep your skin soft and supple, go for distilled rose water without a speck of doubt. It is a healthier and more skin-friendly alternative to the cheap rose water toners that most of us actually use regularly.

6. Use almond oil in place of your lip balm

Most of us always carry some sort of a lip balm in our bag packs so that we can take care of our chapped lips and keep them soft and smooth. Thus, you can go for almond oil instead of a low quality lip balm which and it would actually yield better results for you as it is all-organic!

So go and get that glowing, healthy skin!
